It turns your birth date, time and place into an exact birth chart and gives it to you as text you can copy. AI assistants interpret astrology fluently but cannot do the astronomy: they have no ephemeris, so a chart they produce from a birthday alone is an estimate, and the fast-moving parts of it (the Moon, the Rising sign, the houses) are often wrong. Pasting computed placements fixes that. The assistant stops guessing and reads the chart you actually have.
Different parts of a chart move at very different speeds. A model working from memory can usually place the slow ones and cannot place the fast ones.

A natal chart is a fixed picture. The questions people most want answered are about time: when does this ease, is this the year, what is happening to me right now. Answering them means comparing your chart with where the planets are today and where they will be, date by date, and an assistant without an ephemeris cannot do that; it will still offer dates if asked, and they are invented. It also starts from nothing in every new conversation. Positions are calculated with the Swiss Ephemeris for the exact moment of birth in Universal Time. Your local birth time is converted using the timezone of the birthplace coordinates, including the daylight saving rules in force on that date, never the timezone of the device you are using. Houses are Placidus. Aspects use standard orbs (conjunction and opposition 8 degrees, square and trine 6, sextile 4) between the ten planets, the North Node, Chiron, the Ascendant and the Midheaven, and the list shows the tightest first. Degrees are rounded to the nearest arc minute.
Not reliably. A language model has no ephemeris, the table of where the planets were at a given moment, so when you give it only a birth date, time and place it estimates the positions and often gets the Moon, the Rising sign and the houses wrong. It reads a chart well once the positions are computed for it. Calculate your chart here, copy the text, and paste it in.

Your birth data and timezone, your Sun, Moon and Rising signs, all ten planets by degree, sign and house with retrograde marked, the North and South Node, Lilith, Chiron, Ceres, Pallas, Juno and Vesta, your Ascendant, Midheaven, Descendant and IC, all twelve house cusps, and your major aspects listed tightest first with the orb in degrees.
They come from the Swiss Ephemeris, the engine professional astrology software uses, and are rounded to the nearest arc minute in the text. The timezone, including historical daylight saving, is resolved from the coordinates of your birthplace and not from your device. Accuracy then depends on your birth time: the Ascendant moves about one degree every four minutes, so a time that is off by twenty minutes can move your house cusps by five degrees.
Choose the unknown time option. The chart is cast for noon, and the export leaves out the Rising sign, the angles, the house cusps and every house number instead of printing ones computed for a time that is not yours. Planet signs are still reliable except for the Moon, which moves about 13 degrees a day and can be several degrees off or, near a sign boundary, in the neighboring sign.
The tropical zodiac with Placidus houses, the most widely used combination in Western astrology. At polar latitudes where Placidus cannot be computed the houses fall back to Porphyry, and the first line of the export names the system that was used. For a sidereal reading use the Vedic birth chart or the sidereal Big 3 calculator instead.
Yes. The export is plain text with one placement per line, so any assistant can read it. Nothing about it is specific to ChatGPT.
Anything about timing. Transits, returns, profections and the question "when" all need the positions of the planets today and on future dates, which an assistant without an ephemeris does not have, so dated predictions from a pasted natal chart are guesses. It also forgets your chart when the conversation ends. The timing calculators on this site compute those dates from the ephemeris.
