Past Transits Calculator: What Was Happening in Your Chart in Any Year

Free past transits calculator: every exact transit of Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto to your chart in any past year, dated to the day, so you can check the sky against what happened.

The honest test of astrology

Anyone can read a prediction generously. A dated list of past exact transits is harder to fool yourself with: either the months when Saturn was exact on your Moon were the months your emotional footing was tested, or they were not. The calculator gives you the dates and a plain line about what each contact tends to do, then leaves the comparison to you. The chart records what was exact; what it meant is yours to say.

From the year that was to the year that is coming

The same solver that dates the past dates the future. If the passes for 2019 match the year you remember, the passes for the next twelve months deserve the same attention, and the reading that follows this calculator dates them: the next time a slow planet reaches the same point, and the one that is closer than a quiet year would suggest.

Questions

What does the past transits calculator show?

For the year you choose, every exact conjunction, square and opposition from Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto to your natal Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and your four angles, with the date of each pass. It names the biggest one first and lists the rest.

Why only Jupiter through Pluto?

The slow planets make a handful of exact contacts a year, each lasting weeks to months, which is what a year-level look can hold. The Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and Mars pass every point of your chart every year or faster; they describe weeks, not years.

Which aspects are included?

Conjunctions, squares and oppositions, the aspects astrologers treat as the turning points of a transit. Trines and sextiles are left out on purpose so the list stays readable.

Do I need my birth time?

For the angles, yes. Without a time the calculator still dates every contact to your planets and leaves the Ascendant and Midheaven out.

Can I check the current year or a future one?

The current year is available. For what is coming, the transit chart calculator and the dated year map on this site look forward with the same solver.
