What is an aspect pattern in astrology?
An aspect pattern is the shape that forms when three or more planets connect through major aspects like trines, squares and oppositions. Configurations such as the Grand Trine, T-Square and Yod concentrate a chart's energy into a recognizable geometry, describing where your talent, tension and core life themes cluster together.
Which aspect patterns does this calculator detect?
It scans your ten major planets for six configurations: the Grand Trine (natural flow and talent), the T-Square (driving tension aimed at one focal planet), the Grand Cross (four-way tension needing integration), the Yod or Finger of God (a fated adjustment or mission), the Kite (a Grand Trine given a clear outlet), and the Mystic Rectangle (a balanced weave of ease and tension).
What does it mean if my chart has no major aspect patterns?
It's completely normal. A chart without tight patterns simply expresses each planet more independently and flexibly, rather than routing everything through one dominant configuration. You still get a full reading - the freedom to pivot between energies is a strength, and the tool shows you how to build focus intentionally.
