The Lord of the Year (or time-lord) is the planet that rules the sign on your profected house for the year. Its natal condition and current transits become especially important during that year.
How is the profected house calculated?
Your age modulo 12 gives the profected house (age 0 and every 12 years returns to the 1st house/Ascendant). This calculator finds that house, its sign, and its ruling planet for you.
